Mtr. Jen Fulton
Rector beginning April 15, 2024

Mtr. Jen was born and raised in Wisconsin, and spent her childhood and adolescence in Kenosha. She was raised in a loving Roman Catholic family and attended Catholic schools. After graduating from St. Joseph High School in Kenosha—where her father taught Theology for over 30 years—she received a BA in English from the College of Benedict in St. Joseph, Minnesota. She then earned an MA in English from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign and taught English at Queen of Peace High School in Burbank, Illinois for seven years. After this, she worked as a stay-at-home mom for seven years.

In 2014, Mtr. Jen earned a Master of Ministry from Nashotah House Theological Seminary and was ordained that same year. She began serving at St. John of the Cross Episcopal Church in Bristol, Indiana shortly ordination in 2014. She served as their Priest-in-Charge for nearly a decade. She has also served on the Bishop’s Search Committee, Standing Committee, and the Board of Examining Chaplains, and has participated in Gathering of Leaders and the Sewanee Ministry Collaborative.

Mtr. Jen and her husband, Brad, have been happily married for thirty years. Brad is a research psychologist with a PhD in Applied Social Psychology from Loyola University. They have two young-adult children, Ben and Lee. They have an additional two young adults living in their home, Kris and Brian (“Deuce”), a dog (Shannon), a cat (Misty), and a bearded Dragon (Rocky).

Dr. Marvin Curtis
Music Director

Dr. Curtis is the retired Dean of the Ernestine Raclin School of the Arts at IUSB. On Sundays he is found at our organ and grand piano leading us through an uplifting blend of musical styles; Anglican, Spiritual, Gospel and Jazz. Under his talented leadership, Saint Michael's is blessed to host musical events of the highest quality on a regular basis. In December 2014 we hosted a musical concert, mostly of professional musicians from the congregation, to raise funds for our new grand piano.

Michele Layher
Finance Secretary

Michele Layher works with our Treasurer and Finance Committee to oversee and manage financial life of the parish.

Andi Zavor
Event Coordinator

Andi Zavor assists and supports with events and weddings at Saint Michael's. We conduct events of all kinds and wedding services for our members as well as welcoming those exploring a Christian house of faith for their rites of marriage.
