Meet Mother Jen

Mtr. Jen and her husband, Brad, have been happily married for thirty years. She earned a Master of Ministry from Nashotah House Theological Seminary in 2014 and was ordained that same year.  Brad is a research psychologist with a PhD in Applied Social Psychology from Loyola University. They have two young-adult children, Ben and Lee. They have an additional two young adults living in their home, Kris and Brian (“Deuce”), a dog (Shannon), a cat (Misty), and a bearded Dragon (Rocky).

Mtr. Jen was born and raised in Wisconsin, spending childhood and adolescence in Kenosha. She was raised in a loving Roman Catholic family and attended Catholic schools. After graduating from St. Joseph High School in Kenosha—where her father taught Theology for over 30 years—she received a BA in English from the College of Benedict in St. Joseph, Minnesota.

She then earned an MA in English from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign. She taught English at Queen of Peace High School in Burbank, Illinois for seven years, after which she worked as a stay-at-home mom for seven years.

Mtr. Jen's Service in the Episcopal Church

Mtr. Jen began serving at St. John of the Cross Episcopal Church in Bristol, Indiana shortly ordination in 2014. She served as their Priest-in-Charge for nearly a decade. ​

She has served on the Bishop’s Search Committee, Standing Committee, and the Board of Examining Chaplains, and has participated in Gathering of Leaders and the Sewanee Ministry Collaborative.
